Our Story
Three Generations on the Azmak
Cennet has stood at the source of the Azmak river since 1983 — one family, three generations, the same cold, clear water.
The stone mill came first. The tables came after. In 1983 our family set them out over the water in Akyaka and started cooking whatever the Gökova boats brought in that morning. A wooden terrace was built above the current, close to the spring where the Azmak is at its coldest and clearest.
Today the third generation runs the kitchen and the terrace. Breakfast still covers the whole table. Fish is still chosen by the day, not by the card. Ducks still drift past your feet, the geese still keep order, and after dark the lights turn the river silver.

How we work
One Family, One River, Since 1983
Landed daily
Fish from the Gökova gulf arrives and is cooked the same day. It is the only thing on the menu without a fixed price — we weigh it and quote it before you order.
A regional table
Mezes are made in the kitchen each morning; vegetables and herbs come from Ula and the villages around it.
Over the water
Our tables stand at the point where the Azmak rises, right at the edge of the water.
A family business
Opened in 1983 and run today by the third generation.
